Claim process
Health & hospitalisation claims
Cashless where the hospital is in network, reimbursement where it is not. Intimation comes first either way.
Have us handle it
Step by step
-
1
Intimate immediately
Call the insurer or TPA helpline as soon as admission is planned, or within 24 hours of an emergency admission. Tell us at the same time.
-
2
Cashless or reimbursement
In a network hospital, the insurance desk submits a pre-authorisation form. Elsewhere, you pay and claim back.
-
3
Pre-authorisation
The insurer approves an initial amount, usually within a few hours. Approval can be partial at this stage and revised later.
-
4
Collect every document
Discharge summary, itemised bill, payment receipts, investigation reports and prescriptions. Missing documents are the main cause of delay.
-
5
Submission and settlement
We submit and follow up until settlement, and query any deduction that is not correctly applied.
Documents you will need
- Duly filled claim form
- Policy copy and health card
- Discharge summary
- Itemised hospital bill and payment receipts
- Investigation and diagnostic reports
- Doctor's prescriptions
- ID proof and cancelled cheque
- FIR (accident cases)
What to expect, and when
- Cashless pre-authorisation
- 2–6 hours
- Final cashless approval
- At discharge
- Reimbursement settlement
- 15–21 days from complete documents
Timelines are the insurer's, not ours. We chase them when they slip.
Worth knowing before you start
Room rent limits and co-payment clauses are applied at settlement, not at pre-authorisation. If your room category exceeds the policy limit, proportionate deductions can apply across the whole bill.
Claims turn on documents and dates
Send us both before you file. It is far cheaper to fix a file than to appeal a rejection.
