Claim process
Motor claims
Do not move the vehicle or authorise repairs before the surveyor has seen it.
Have us handle it
Step by step
-
1
Intimate and, if needed, file an FIR
An FIR is required for theft, third-party injury and most significant accidents.
-
2
Wait for the surveyor
Repairs authorised before inspection can be disallowed. Photograph the damage where it happened.
-
3
Choose cashless or reimbursement
A network garage bills the insurer directly. Elsewhere you pay and claim back.
-
4
Repair and settlement
The insurer settles net of depreciation, the compulsory excess and any policy-specific deduction.
Documents you will need
- Claim form
- Policy copy
- Registration certificate
- Driving licence
- FIR where applicable
- Repair estimate and final invoice
- Payment receipts
What to expect, and when
- Surveyor allocation
- 24–48 hours
- Survey report
- 3–7 days
- Settlement
- 7–15 days after repair
Timelines are the insurer's, not ours. We chase them when they slip.
Worth knowing before you start
A zero depreciation add-on removes most part-wise depreciation. Without it, plastic and rubber components attract heavy deductions.
Claims turn on documents and dates
Send us both before you file. It is far cheaper to fix a file than to appeal a rejection.
